WHAT A GREAT GROUP!

by winjaComment Published at 23:2823:288 comments8 comments14 Visits14 VisitsReport

wow this group is great im so glad i found it! kym you shoudlve added a link to this group in my B board q you silly thing lol

ive been using washables for quite awhile, i was using biodegradle nappies and washables buit ive switched to full time washables now and havent looked back.

ive used 100%cotton flats only untill recnetly when tobias started waking overnight at crazy hours and got himself a really bad case of nappy rash (all cleared up in a day mummy is slightly paranoid methinks!) and i am testing different MCN right now.

i have two babybeehinds one of the minkee ones and a normal one for nights and il be adding to my stockpile weekly or fortnightly depending on my finances. ive found that tobias doesnt actually pee enough to use the bamboo insert with the babybeehind overnight so im now using the inserts with his flats and that works great!

i am having a difficult time finding the really trendy nappies (you know like thomas and stuff lol) in a large size? where do you all get the large ones? i really really want some super cute ones for during the day.

ps second hand or new doesnt matter to me, i wash things lol

Hi I have a bubbly little girl who is almost 3 and we are still in nappies at night, i have found a fantastic site call Lou Lou Nappies and they have the best Nappies there. I purchased some of their lou lou night nappies and they are great, my d/d is a heavy wetter some nights and not on others, just normal i guess but i don't have any problems with these i can just throw them in the wash and hang them out or when i'm pressed for time straight in the dryer, and hey we are back in action and there are my with Bamboo not hemp and i just couldn't live with out them.

feel free to check them out at www.loulounappies.com

Hello to all

Hi people's

I'm just new to this site and love cloth nappies.  I generally use cloth folded through the day and baby beehinds pre-mades during the night.  I went to the trouble of making my own liners with microfibre and a normaly cloth back and have been grateful ever since.

Anyway just thought I should introduce myself.

love to all VM

HELP!! OUR CLOTH NAPPIES ARE NOT WORKING - REPELLING LIQUID!!!

by MotherofJWEComment Published at 16:3916:395 comments5 comments34 Visits34 VisitsReport

HELP!!  Our son's pocket nappies (microfleece lining) nappies are repelling liquid!  We do occasionally use pure lanolin as a nappy "cream" so there may be some residue from this on thye nappies. I may also have been using a little too much detergent.

I have done several hot rinses yet they still repel. Have tried washing them in dishwashing liquid - still repel.  I no longer add vinegar to the final rinse as I was concerned this might not have been good for the elastic in our pocket nappies. Is this happening because I have stopped using vinegar?

Any other suggestions for stripping the nappies?

Nappies for sale

by kseersComment Published at 15:5715:571 comments1 comments13 Visits13 VisitsReport

A friend of mine has just started selling nappies on ebay.  They are a system she has used for years, that come from Japan.  So many people have asked her about them she has decided to sell them in Australia - and they seem very reasonable to me.  So drop by and have a look - and email her with any questions....

wool longies and shorties

I was looking into these but it seems to hard to believe. Can you really use them as a pilcher type thing and do they really stop leaks? HOW?? also I read that you don't have to wash them all the time just hang them out to dry and air... is this hygenic? what about smell? if you use these can you tell me why they are better than PUL covers.

I am wanting to make some all in one cloth nappies with 3 layers of flannelette material and a layer of PUL and a built in booster of 4 layers of terry towling. Does anyone have a good fool proof pattern they could email me with some basic instructions as I am not a sewer. thanks.

Cloth nappies in the uk.

by BrightonBelleComment Published at 02:4002:401 comments1 comments13 Visits13 VisitsReport

We are expecting our second baby in November and I would really like to use reusable nappies but don't relly know alot about them. I know that some companies do a complete birth to potty set - are these worth the money? and what is the best compny to use?
